This all started when I saw a crocheted bag I loved and was about to buy it. My mum said, “Simona, don’t buy that, I can make you one.” I didn’t even know she could crochet.

She told me she used to crochet when she was younger… over 50 years ago.

At 73, she picked it back up, bought some yarn, and made me the most beautiful bag. But she didn’t stop at one — she kept going. Before I knew it, she’d made 10… then 15… all for me, in different colours to match my outfits.

I didn’t need that many bags,  so without telling her, I listed one online… and it sold straight away.

Someone then asked if she could make a custom order. I said yes, took the order… and then told my mum she had a customer.

She was over the moon.

I sharing everything on TikTok — the bags, the story, and my mum.

I asked people if I should turn this into something for her… and the response was incredible. The videos reached thousands of people, and the messages we received were so kind and supportive.

It’s given my mum a whole new lease of life, and her confidence has grown so much.

Now, her handmade bags are being worn all over the world,  on holidays, styled with outfits, and loved by women of all ages

My mum makes every single bag by hand, with so much care and attention. I handle everything else, the website, the orders, and the social media.

Together, we make a pretty great team.

7. EMOTIONAL CLOSE

My mum has done everything for me my whole life, and supported me through a lot, i built my own business which i couldn't have done without her.. and now it’s my turn to do something for her.

She deserves this moment.
